Wool heaven, New Zealand

Temperature: high of about 70ºF, low of about 50ºF

Our parting tip from our friends in Nelson was how to get to a sheep herder who sells to spinning groups.  We dropped by to have a look at the sheep and left with a spinning wheel and quite a bit of wool.

The raw fleeces on this wall are labeled according to what sheep they have come off.  Each sheep has a name.
Julie sits amid a sea of spinning wheels.  She appears dazed and delighted all at the same time.
Here she is with her traveling spinning wheel at her first opportunity to try it out.
Oh, and we did a bit of site seeing as well.  We drove by Nelson Lakes.  It looked like a nice place to hike, but we had just spent about six hours hiking the previous day.
