High on the ramparts of the fort there are
many cannon. Some of which have been brought here as war booty. Even one
from China taken in the Boxer Rebellion.

Polo is still a popular game
in Jodhpur. At least among the royal family.

After the fort, we hire a tuktuk to take us
to the current residence for the Maharaja of Jodhpur: the Umaid Bhawan
Palace. It is now part museum, part hotel, and part private residence.

We have dinner outside, watching the sunset
over the palace gardens. The end of a long day, and tomorrow we try our
luck on the motorcycle again.
